Connie Woytowich

I appreciate you taking the time to review this site and learn more about me. I encourage you to reach out to me directly if you have any questions, as I am not actively on social media (just a page for my campaign!) and personally value information that comes from direct sources. Educating yourself on school board candidates is important - thank you for doing so!

I decided to run for the school board based on multiple factors: I care deeply about education, have four children in the district, have been considering a run for the past few years, had a year to recharge after being the PTA President for two years at Division Street Elementary, still feel the desire to serve the educational community, and my expertise and interest in STEM education and professional development are issues that I am willing to work with our school district on for the benefit of all students of Saratoga Springs.

I am a designated NYS Master Teacher and NYSUT member that specializes in biology, chemistry and a college elective course that I developed called Personal Genetics at my alma mater, Colonie Central High School. I also run a (very) small business called Training FUNdamentals, LLC that provides curriculum procurement and (fun!) training to businesses. I was named a 2017 Woman of Distinction and am also the immediate past President of the Division Street School PTA, now a National PTA School of Excellence. I have chaired the STEM Expo at Division Street School and Directed Camp Invention for the better part of the last decade. In 2016, I led the effort to successfully raise $25,000 for the acquisition of an instructional tool called the Earth Balloon, now available to schools within and out of our district via the Division Street PTA. I have also served on several education committees in both Colonie and Saratoga. I hold a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry, a Master of Science in Curriculum Development & Instructional Technology, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Policy & Administration, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Curriculum & Instruction.

I am most honored to be the wife of Mike Woytowich and mother to our four daughters: two at the elementary level, one tween and one teen.

I am excited to work collaboratively with others that share the desire to serve our learning community, and I appreciate you taking the time to educate yourself on my positions on the issues facing our schools. Please see the links above for more information.

I value that you care about our learning community. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions at
